Alternative to Peach Farm?

hi. I really like Peach Farm and visit whenever in town, but I was wondering if any of the nearby Chinese restaurants have eclipsed it? I'll be in town tomorrow staying near PF and was hoping for a great Chinese dinner. Any regional variants will work... Doesn't have to be Cantonese.

I would also recommend Hong Kong Eatery for very good roast meats and Winsor Cafe for dim sum.

I like East Ocean City on Tyler St. They have live fish and shellfish tanks and turn out some very good Chinese seafood. For a splurge and if you have more than one per5son dining try their Salt and Pepper King Crab. I also like their clams with black bean sauce and any of their steamed fish.

ditto east ocean; bring a bunch of people and money if you want a king crab; it is one big beast and seves 4 hungry people.

I was going to say Jade Garden but then you mentioned that you aren't specifically looking for Cantonese food. If you just want Chinatown favorites there are a million threads- no comparison to Peach Farm needed. Xinh Xinh for Vietnamese, New Shanghai for Sichuan, Best Little Restaurant for more humble Cantonese (but they will cook just about any seafood item, ordered on demand from a neighboring seafood vendor).

Jumbo (one street closer to the gate) is pretty good, but a little more pricey, new golden gate is also good they had been doing a soft shell crab special as well as a twin lobster special, I think both <$20.
