Elena's vs. Papas? (Arden/Hendersonville)

The standard around here for Mexican (or "American Mexican") seems to pretty much be Papas 'n' Beer and I agree. That's where we always go, plus the occasional taco truck. But, we recently have tried Elena's in Arden (intersection of 25 and Airport Rd) and have been pleasantly surprised. We have only tried a few dishes, but felt they rivaled what we have had at Papas (the hvl location) and the atmosphere is better.
I have had (twice) a "Spring Burrito" which has really nicely grilled veggies (a variety - mine had spinach, asparagus, zucchini, onions and the first time, mushrooms, the other time, tomatoes). No starch fillers. Light cheese sauce on top. Delicious! It comes with shrimp, but I ask for it without just because I'm not a big fan of shrimp. My husband had a chicken/beef burrito which does have some rice inside and three sauces on top. Beef was shredded not ground. He also has had the chicken quesodilla. He said both rivaled similar items he's had at Papas. My friend said she got a grilled shrimp entree and got 12 shrimp for something like $10 and it was delicious.
They have a good sized salsa bar. Today we tried regular, avocado and peanut. Not sure I tasted much avocado, but it was good (and hot!).
These are the same owners as Casa Torres (I've only had their chicken soup and it was delicious, very fresh) and El Rebozo (sorry, just can't get past the name, so have never eaten there).
Was curious if other Papas fans have tried Elena's and what they thought? I'm not saying we're jumping the Papas' ship because we still love it; but if we're at the other end of town, Elena's will be our choice.
p.s. I would include their website link, but it's horrible and doesn't give a good idea of their restaurant or menu.
p.p.s. I didn't think Elena's chips (the freebies with the salsa) were very good. Not bad, just ok.
if it's the same owners, I would guess it would be. but, the whole clown image just makes me laugh. :)
I feel like most Mexican around here is pretty much all the same. It seems like Elena's has a few more interesting choices. We don't have much of a sample size from there yet, but I am encouraged. We have not dabbled in the drinks yet, so no clue there.
