vegan w/outdoor seating

  • 4

Are there any vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the city with nice outdoor seating? Alternatively a take-out place near a park or restaurant with at least a few vegan items on the menu? I've been to a few vegan places in the city but I don't recall any with outdoor seating. Thanks!

  1. Pure Food and Wine. I haven't eaten there, but I did have dinner once at Verbena, the restaurant that previously occupied that space. The back garden is very pretty.

We always enjoyed Verbena, and the garden was very pretty. When Pure Food took over that location, they made improvements in the garden. It's gorgeous! Even though we are not vegans or even vegetarians, we occasionally go to Pure Food during the warm weather months because we love to sit in that garden.

The first time we had the signature "lasagna" several years ago, it was fantastic. However, since then, they've changed the ingredients -- specifically the nuts, which had become too expensive. When we tried it again last summer, it wasn't nearly as delicious. Salads are very nice, though.

This place looks lovely, I've actually passed by several times but I totally forgot to mention in my first post that I'm on a limited budget. Under $20 for mains and under $12 for apps is more the range I'm looking for.

Ok. How about Yaffa Cafe? Fewer vegan options, not quite as nice outdoor space, but cheap!
