I spend a lot of time on the road and always looking for spots to grab lunch or a cocktail with my computer...any suggestions? Preferably downtown, west end..

I find that the vast majority of pubs and pub-like establishments in Toronto have wifi acess, though you usually have to ask for the code as they don't go out of their way to advertise it. Independent places (like the Rhino) seem more likely to offer it than chains, though some chains (like Gabby's, which I definitely don't recommend for food) do have it.

Other good candidates for lunch are places that are kind of hybrid cafes/bars, like Tequila Bookworm on Queen West, where you can get a decent sandwich and a drink and use the wireless for an hour or so without feeling that you are intruding as you might in a more formal restaurant environment.
