Best place to enjoy local oysters in Edgartown, MV

Recently I have really gotten into oysters. I'm heading to MV next week and wanted to try out some classic as well as interesting preparations of local oysters...any idea?

Any restaurant that serves Edgartown's own Sweet Neck Oysters. They are grown in Katama bay and are quite literally, the best oysters in the world.

I know a few folks who hail from Welfleet that may take issue with that statement. :-)

      ....and Cotuit.

      ....and Duxbury

      ...and Prince Edward Island

I'm sure they would! ;) Have you tried them yet? They really are amazing. I am a bit of an oyster junkie.

I think it's a tie guys. I plan to do a taste test this summer. We visit both places regularly. On MVI I usually go to one of the fish markets. Edgartown Seafood, Larsen's and Net Result are all good, the latter two may have some prepped for cooking with their own stuffing or whatever.

When talking about raw oysters, Sweetnecks are hard to beat. I can't wait to hear the results of your taste test! :)
