Like the Nicollet Island Inn, but a little cheaper?
We are looking for a nice restaurant for a family dinner this weekend--good food, special but not too fancy atmosphere, maybe somewhere to walk around afterwards. The Nicollet Island Inn would be perfect but I just looked at the menu and it's kind of pricey. Is there anything similar, but a little less expensive?

The first thing that came to mind was The Lexington. New owners and I'd like to check it out. I enjoy walking along Grand Av, but maybe not everyone would.
But, I like Brad's idea a lot....I've only been to Spoonriver once, for brunch, but it was good and the walking is better.
Or, how about Vic's at St Anthony Main, just across the Stone Arch bridge from Spoonriver?
