ISO - Frozen shredded hashbrowns

mlukan May 31, 2011 02:00 PM

I have been to several No frills, Loblaws, Sobeys, and Metro. Don't ask me why I need them.... but they seem to be hard to find in the GTA. Anyone spotted them lately?

I usually find them at Loblaws, for some reason they keep them in the area near the deli and prepared foods not with the other frozen potatoe items

Hmmmm, this could be my issue because I also used to get them at Loblaws. I might have to check out the deli section I guess. Thanks!

Ok, so I went back to Loblaws and they are near the deli, but they refrigerated, not frozen???? None of the employees seemed to know what I was looking for....... not many places downtown stock these things. I have to remember to grab some when I'm out of the core.

I've had difficulties finding shredded potatoes in Canada as well. Very common in the States, but not here it seems.

I prefer to make homemade shredded hash browns myself, but this is for a funeral potato casserole recipe which called for frozen hash browns.
