ISO lobster pasta

For her birthday treat, my daughter has asked me to find the best lobster pasta dish in the Boston area. Her taste runs to a creamy, alfredo-ish style, but not lobster mac n cheese. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jasper White makes one heck of a pan seared lobster. If you ask the kitchen I would bet you could get it over pasta.

I have to jump in. The best lobster dish I had recently was when I went to MB bot 6 cooked lobsters, shucked em, and my SO made ravioli (semolina flour) with em.

By far best lobster pasta dish I've ever eaten STUFFED with lobster.

So FoonFan's daughter will be over to celebrate her b-day at the Striper Guy's pad. Nice of you to offer!

Which reminds me of my Groupon I have for that place. Unfortunately, the owner is a salty bastard ! ;)

And they wont take reservations. The wait, on weekends especially, can be BRUTAL.

I'm shuckin' 50 lobsters as we speak. Come on down! To bad the cocktails suck at my place :-(

It's not creamy, but the Bucatini Lobster Fra Diavolo at Marco is very good.

The open-faced lobster ravioli at Delfino's in Roslindale is rich and delicious!

Yes, people should be aware the Neptune's lobster spaghettini is (1) expensive (mid-$30s, iirc), and (2) big enough to share!

Should credit go to David Nevins, who was the original chef at Neptune and who created this dish? My folks had the Lobster Spaghettini at his later venture, Osetra in South Norwalk, CT and were blown away as well. Unfortunately, it seems that restaurant is now closed. Any news of Nevins?

Delicious, to be sure. However, not quite as large as it once was.

Does it have to be pasta? If not, I would go for the lobster pizza at Scampo.

On Monday nights only, I believe Neptune Oyster is still doing the Lobster Spaghettini. Also not creamy.

Not creamy, but it's hard to imagine a better lobster pasta dish than Neptune's Lobster Spaghettini.

The Lobster Roe Noodles at island Creek is one of the best things I've had in a while but not creamy/Alfredoey. How about lobster ravioli with cream sauce at Rino's?

I might be the only one in the world but I never really liked the lobster roe noodles at ICOB. I love lobster and I love lobster roe, and I love noodles. I just kept thinking I'd rather be eating a really good bowl of bolognese or carbonara.

The ICOB roe noodles are fine, but maybe a bit overhyped. IMO they can't hold a candle to the spaghettini at Neptune.

Word. I like the ICOB dish, but I'd walk a mile in Jimmy Choos for the spaghettini at Neptune. Mondays only.
