Cupcakes in North Beach area [San Francisco]

Looking for a GOOD gourmet cupcake in the the North Beach area. Or walking distance from that area OK....Union Square, Embarcadero, Fishermans Wharf....

I tried a number of cupcakes from different bakeries and found Cupkates to be the most moist and flavorful. The cupcake shop with the window on Union between Stockton and Grant is not very good. Kingdom cake or something like that.

Cupkates truck is in financial district around lunch a few days during the work week.

Delise near fisherman's wharf have some interesting cupcakes.

Cako have several branches, one off Union Square, one in Westfield (near the entrance to Bart), and another at the Metreon.

Also Cupcake Cove @ Battery & Pine in the Financial District. I am not a huge cupcake fan, but bringing some of these home to my wife is never a bad move.

That takes the Cake on Union St. & Susy Cakes on Chestnut--Yumm & super delicious!

Kara's Cupcakes is at Ghiradelli Square a bit past Fisherman's Wharf

Then there's Cako not far from Powell/Union Square area.
