Using W. Illinois as a northern border, what spots are worth checking out? Doesn't matter what kind of food, although we love Mexican places. Looking to add a little balance to my northward thinking. Below are places I have been or have on my radar:

I think Rudy's Chicken is well worth checking out if you're in the mood for that. I didn't really like it but Sweet Georgia Brown is worth a look if you've never been.
