Sunday Brunch

Considering Patois or Cafe Amelie for Sunday brunch. I have never been to either of these and can't decide between the 2. Love the outdoor courtyard at Amelie - but might it be too hot (june 5th) to enjoy?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Patois hands down. Lovely patio at cafe Amelie but average food. At patois we ate pulled pork on biscuits, gnocchi with lump crab, and croque Madame. All really excellent.

OK Pam, go totally off script and head out to Mimi's in the suburb of River Ridge. Go to their website and click on the brunch menu. So creative, so well-executed, especially the Syrian breakfast with fried eggs, homemade Syrian pork sausage, grape leaves, grilled feta, olives and tomatoes. Think you'd like it if you didn't mind a wee trip to the 'burbs.

Update, Pam: don't drive out to Mimi's! Just found out the hard way that they aren't open on Sunday anymore.

Thanks - we won't have a car. Think I'll just keep my reservation at Patois. Will check out the courtyard at Cafe Amelie - over an iced tea! :-)

Cafe Amelie is nestled in a beautiful courtyard, but IMHO that's about all it has going for it.
Food at Patois is light years better.
