Hi.

I am looking for a small wedding ceremony and reception for 40 people. I was thinking of doing at Globe Bistro, any inputs?

Also, I was thinking of doing a brunch reception as it would be most convenient for our pocket. But our cultures loves food especially on wedding day, any suggestion?

  1. Does your culture like the food offered at Globe? It's a good place, I suggest you chat with the manager and talk about menu options.
I attended an office party there once, it was very good indeed (in the private room upstairs) complete with an oyster bar. Service was 5 star. And we were a multicultural group, some vegetarians, they had no problem dealing with us. I'd recommend that you just go in and talk to the management, tell them what you want, they are very nice people, there's no need to feel intimidated.

what time did you have the party..was the food great?

    2. You could consider their new location on Bloor Street too as I hear they have a lot more room over there in case they can't accomodate you at Danforth location.

Friends had their reception there last summer. They booked the private room and roof top patio. The food was lovely and the service was great. I have no idea what the pricing was like, but I know they had a fairly tight budget, so I'm assuming it was reasonable. I've never been there for brunch, but have had dinner there several times and never been disappointed.
