What's the Vietnamese equivalent of Thai House Express?

I love Thai House Express and pick up from there all too often. What's the equivalent (spicy, authentic and delicious) Vietnamese place in SF?

  1. Down the hill a few blocks from Thai House Express, you'll find Bodega Bistro and Pagolac, two excellent options.

Mangosteen, on the end of the same block, was always good too, but I haven't been in a while.

Vietnamese food is rarely very spicy. Although the catfish and dill dish at Bodega is served with a shrimp paste sauce that has some kick.

agreed, it is rarely very spciy. pagolac is delicious and authentic

    2. Ler Ros is your place - on Larkin in same neighborhood is authentic. If you like spicy they do that very well.

Lers Ross is great, but it's Thai. Worth a try for a change from Thai House Express, at its best it's better, and they have a lot of different dishes.
