We visiting and are looking for a restaurant that is nice but appropriate for children. Our granddaughter doesn't want steak. Kids are 9,13, and 18 plus adults. We're celebrating birthdays and a high school graduation. We are in the northwest Tucson but will drive to another area if necessary.

  1. What is your budget? How many people total? High-end in your area would be McClintock's, less expensive but still nice would be Harvest. If your group is small, consider Jax Kitchen. Wildflower is also a good option. Check Open Table for descriptions and menu. Have fun!

In addition to Claudette's post, I've been to several restaurants, admittedly upscale, where well mannered kids are enjoyed. Vivace's, Acacia, and Anthony's. Acacia has moved since I was last there, but wonderful service and ambiance. New Locatioon will be explored later this summer.
Damisus and i are doing the same in MSP next month, and hoping to find a similar resto.

      good Luck.

Thank you! We went to Jax Kitchen and had a wonderful time. There were 8 of us total. We told them that we were celebrating 2 birthdays and 1 high school graduation. We started off with the Jax Snax Slate and were very impressed with the variety and portion. There was enough for the 8 of us to have a taste. We also shared a calamari appetizer. Our youngest grandchild had the side portion of mac and cheese as an entree. Another had the tortilla soup and a side of french fries (eclectic tastes-what can I say?) and our older granddaughter split the fish #2 with our daughter and it was served pre-split by the kitchen. Three of our party had the Kobe hamburger and they were great. I had the Duck Leg Confit sald which was also great. There were two with celebrations (1 with a birthday and the 2nd was celebrating both a birthday and a high school graduation). We ordered 3 desserts (panna cotta, red velvet cake and a wonderful chocolate cake) and the restaurant comped 2 of the desserts. Needless to say, we were very pleased with the service and the food.
