Guinea Pig (Cuy) in SF

Any reports of restaurants making guinea pig dishes in SF? Bay Area?

Are the legal issues or just cultural ones?

Had it at Costa Nera in Pacifica. Tasty, lovely view, great pisco sours.

Huh, that wasn't on the menu when I went. How did they prepare it?

Here's my post with a picture, ironically in the thread you linked. I think it was a special that night, so it's probably best to call them and ask before going.

It was roasted whole and then cloaked in sauce. Not an awful lot of meat, but served with potatoes, etc. Whole bony animals on a plate don't end up being very popular around here, so maybe they gave up.
