For collichio, didn't he already attempt to do something biergarten style with Collichio & Sons tap room? That seemed overpriced and strange.

Yeah, I'll give it a little time for the hype to die down - it's going to be a mob scene from the get-go. That said, Colicchio is a chef who really understands and appreciates good beer, and his restos have always had well-curated suds collections. So I think it'll be a solid summer destination. We'll see how long the waits are, though...

Agreed - I hate crowds... but maybe it will open up the Standard Biergarten a little, so that if it's too crowded, you have a plan b!
