Zpizza Report

After doing some shopping on Fourth Street I had a very nice lunch today at Zpizza. They had a special of one 6" slice of fire-baked pizza, a side salad, and a soda for (I think it was) $7.61 including tax.

My slice of pepperoni pizza was really good. The dough was thin, crisp on the bottom, but not shatteringly so at all, it still had some chew and was bendable. Served quite hot, with great melty mozzarella cheese, good pepperoni, and a nicely subtle tomato sauce that was applied sparingly. No extraneous grease was in evidence. The lightly dressed salad of mixed greens with tomato slices and shaved carrots was lovely. They had even removed the seeds from the tomato slices. The soda was so large that I still haven't finished it. Couldn't finish the pizza slice either, for that matter.

Service was friendly and prompt.

I intend to return next time I'm in that neighborhood at lunch time.
