hmmm....not a lot in Brevard. If you want your basic greasy local breakfast place, we have been to Julie's (almost across from Brevard College). Cheap and busy and not bad at all for what it is.
If you want brunch, looks like Hob Nob and Marco Trattoria both have one (they are next door to each other). I wasn't impressed with Marco's dinner, but I admit I haven't been back since they first opened a couple of years ago. Friends of ours go there all the time and love it, so maybe it's much better now?...that said, their brunch menu looks very good to me and reasonable. Square Root has a brunch menu too, but I haven't been impressed with lunch or dinner there so would pass. The Quarry's looks good, but says it doesn't start brunch until June.
Both Hob Nob and Marco's have outdoor seating, although this weekend, it'll likely be crazy busy.

You could go down 26 to Flat Rock Village Bakery and then cut over to Brevard on Little River and Crab Creek. Out of the way, but you know...priorities...
All the white squirells I've ever seen have been in Flat Rock anyway ;-)
There's Braken Mountain Bakery in Brevard, not sure about sunday hours.

They really do not serve a breakfest,i.e. pancakes, eggs, etc

was trying to find a menu online for Julie's, but no luck. You could always poke your head in on your way into town and see if it appeals (it's your basic pancake/egg plates, etc with no frills atmosphere - service has been good for us). It's on the right about a block past Ingles before the stream/river and before the Food Lion plaza (it's easy to miss).
If it doesn't look interesting, you can just keep on going to Hob Nob or Marco's! :)
Btw, if you do go to one of the brunches, I'd be very interested to hear how it is (we're always looking for a good brunch!).

actually we ate at the Mills River Restaurant which is on the direct route to Brevard
French Toast and spinich /chedder omlette was OUTSTANDING
The Home Frires(really chunks of fresh potatoes) was excellant-one of the best around. Great selection and pricing
Probally the best breakfest in the area-rivals Five Point , Sugar Beet Cafe in Fairview and Morning Glory Cafe in Black Mountain
They also had a salad bar that was very fresh and abundant
Menu was varied and all prices were very reasonable.

wow. Oh my. Well, yes, it is definitely convenient for your route, but that would not have been anywhere on my list of recs (and I live a couple miles from it). I've had breakfast there (albeit not in the last 3 or 4 years) and while it was ok, I wouldn't have rated it any better than that (and I've had the french toast). And I certainly would never have put it up there with those others...it seemed very.....Sysco......... maybe I need to try it again. ??
We usually go to Kosta's (now in Fletcher near Blue Sky). Our favorite for your basic no frills breakfast. People have also been making a little noise about Palmyra's breakfasts (in the old Kosta's location in Skyland). I need to check that one out too and compare.
Damn, I was hoping you had good news about one of the brunches!! haha!!

Wow! A positive review of Mills River Restaurant? I live a mile from that place and you couldn't drag me there. Maybe I'm ordering the wrong things. Or hopefully, given the above review, they have stepped up their game. It's been a few months since I was last there (desperately hungry and short on time), but I have to agree with Scirocco, standard Sysco fare all the times I have been.

Well the Breakfest wqas outstanding
Made those potatoes(or an excuse for them ) at Sunnypoint exceptional. all I know my husbands French toast was made from good quality bread -Challah and my omlette was over loaded withh fresh spinich and chedder cheese and those potatoes were the best
Five points does rival
My one complaint from all these breakfest places is the pre-packaged jams -HORRIBLE
Next time I will bring my Jams from Trader Joes
