Good Eats in Baltimore for Convention Weekends

Hey all!
I live in the area year-round, but I go to Baltimore specifically for a large convention every year; I also have friends who go to other events that happen in the BCC, and we could use a little help in finding reasonable eats. The convention food stalls are always unsatisfactory, but the problem with outside eating is that everywhere's packed. I've been thinking Little Italy would be good, but again, there is a crowded and often expensive problem.

Any good places a short walk or drive from the BCC that have a lower chance of being tourist traps overrun with tourists? And, well, other congoers, even?

  1. I would walk to Federal Hill, you'll have a number of solid, reasonable options - Ryleighs, Thai Arroy, Matsuri, Corks, etc. all of which will be better than what's offered in the immediate vicinity of the convention center.
