your best kuchen recipe?

Making a rhubarb kuchen tonight based on some googling.

Has anyone found a kuchen recipe (any type of fruit would be fine- I can adapt ;-)) that they think takes the cake?

    Your favorite plain-ish cookie dough - sugar, almond, shortbread, oatmeal, etc. - simply patted into a pie pan, topped with sweetened rhubarb mixed with a tbsp of tapioca or other thickener, baked at 350 until crust is properly brown.

      Thanks, greygarious! Haven't tried a cookie dough-based kuchen before. Will have to give that a try with my rhubarb.
