    Hello Janie,
I am sure there are tons of pick your own berry farms closer to upstate. Try finding one in a pick your own directory. I would recommend one but I am not too familiar with upstate farms. I am sure they have fantastic wild blueberries!

Check pickyourown.org for nationwide listings of farms. They also list fruit and vegetable festivals. Looks like it's going to be a late start to the season this year.

I think that they are all good, but I am guessing that it is a bit too early for berry picking. We find that the third week in June -- around the time of the strawberry festival -- is usually prime. We've had good luck picking at Harbes, which is just a little west of Patty's, but Patty's is fine too. You just have to be there at the right time!

I looked up Harbes and I'm confused...it says for berry picking, and gives link for Patty's berries--and there appears to be 3 locations for Harbes..could you please explain to me how it's set up and which location is best--I'm really mostly interested in berries, although if they are know for growing certain vegetables, that would be helpful to know..thank you...

It's funny, that location on the google map looked a lot like where Harbes is located, so maybe Patty is a member of the Harbes family and she does the berries...

I think that Patty's berries stand is opposite the main Harbes Farm on Sound Ave. in Mattituck. It is part of the Harbes Farms.

So, an answer to the question is that the berries I've picked there have been excellent.

Hello, Patty's Berries and Bunches and Harbes Family Farm is two separate owners and are both related. Patty is Ed's(Owner of Harbes Family Farm) sister.
