ISO Liquid Crab & Shrimp Boil concentrate in LA
We're having a shrimp & crab boil tomorrow & can't locate the liquid seasoning anywhere! I already have the powdered seasoning packets, but for me, the best results always come from using a combination of the powdered and the liquid concentrate.
I've checked all of our local grocery stores on the Westside - including Vons, Ralphs, Pavillions, Gelsons, Whole Foods & even Santa Monica Seafood - all to no avail. In the Midwest, I'm able to find it at any grocery store in the seafood section, but apparently that's not the case in LA.
So, I'm putting all my hope in you... has anyone spotted it at a store it in the Los Angeles area?
Thanks in advance for saving our seafood from a bland existence!
I would give a call to:

I bought several bottles at "Lucky's" (nee Alberston's) and I agree completely. The dry doesn't come close to being as versatile as the concentrate. Good luck.

I tried the Lucky's market in Van Nuys & a couple Albertson's.. no dice. I appreciate your help & am glad you agree it's better too! My family is starting to think I'm nuts.. : )

The guy I talked to at Surfas suggested Santa Monica Seafood, but I've already tried them. I can't believe how hard this stuff is to find around here! Next time, I'll definitely order it online.. Thx!

My two last suggestions would be Jons Market in Hollywood and El Camaguay Market on Venice Blvd. on the Culver City / LA border.

This may sound crazy, but I would call The Hungry Cat and ask what they suggest. If there is a seafood restaurant where you are a regular, I suspect they might also offer some suggestions.

Just buy it direct

McCormick/Shilling Spices acquired Zatarain's recently I believe, so the distribution might be wider than before now.
