What about Ornella Trattoria, for inventive regional Italian food, or Zenon Taverna, for Cypriot homecooking? Both restaurants turn out good quality, authentic food and have ample dining rooms and reasonable prices. (Bare Burger is also a fun place!)

re: CitySpoonful
I agree with CitySpoonful's recommendations. These are two contenders in my search for a spot for my rehearsal dinner. Do note that Zenon is cash only, if that is an issue.
I'm not sure I get all the love that Trattoria L'Incontro gets on this board. Granted I was only there once, but the meal was very disappointing given the high price point. I tend to prefer more focused menus. When the waiter rattles off a list of about 30 specials for the night, plus a multi-paged menu, I wonder about the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Ornella is a great example of lovingly prepared Italian food and I've enjoyed each of my meals there.

Congrats! We went to L'Incontro last Sunday after my daughters graduation from St. John's.
Piccola Venezia & L'Incontro tend to be pricey but, hey, you only live once!
That being said, places like Telly's Taverna, Stamatis, Agnanti might be an option if you like Greek. I was watching triple D on the food network on Friday and they had a spot on Sparrow?
Looks like a nice spot!! anyone been there recently? There is also 5 Napkin Burger which my junior chowhounds love...
Regards,
