Las Delicias, Annapolis
My wife and I finally made it in for the first time for an early dinner last Saturday.
I'd been eyeing the Salvadoran/French joint for a while wondering what the offerings must be like and we were both pleasantly surprised.
We started with the spinach pupusa special and the ceviche. Both were outstanding. The pupusas were rich, gooey and nicely crispy on the exterior. The ceviche was also very good, fresh and the serving was generous. Lots of fresh peppers and onions along with the seafood and a few saltines alongside.
For entrees I had the Fajitas Mixta (beef, chicken, shrimp) which arrived on a huge sizzling platter. The meat was cooked in a dark rich sauce that was hard to pick out any specific flavor, but was very good. My wife had the bleu cheese steak which as a rather thin and suspect looking piece of beef, but proved to be tender and very flavorful. The accompanying ratatouille like vegatable dish was a little over cooked, but flavorful.
We finished with profiteroles which may have been a touch stale but was still a nice finish. The single serving was more than enough to share.
Definitely an interesting spot, and one we'll return to.
