Best steakhouse in Atlanta that is not a chain restaurant

I will be in Atlanta next week for a conference. Looking to try a good steakhouse for a business dinner for 12 people, but want to avoid the chains (Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, etc.) because we have those too in central Florida. What do you recommend?

    I would say Bone's or Hal's.
Lots of people love McKendrick's but I've never been.

this question is aksed about once a month so you might qant to do a search.Im a huge fan of McKendricks near Perimeter mall--i travelled alot and it was the best anywhere in the world Ive been to.Bones is very good as well.If you go to McKendricks ask for taco as your waiter, and definitely get the lobster mashed potatoes, asparagus, oysters, and the bread pudding-be forewarned--its not cheap--my wife and I just dropped 200 for a meal, but it was well worth it
