The Cupcake Diner - Cupcake truck in Hamilton

I just saw this truck featured on CHCH news.

If anyone gets a chance to try them please post on how they are. Exciting that at least some cities are supporting truck vendors. It sounds like there aren't as many hurdles to jump through in Hamilton and that the city was supportive based on the news report.

  1. There is also a grilled cheese truck in the area!

Same folks (or at least friends of the folks) who run El Gastronomo Vagabondo.

Ah, thanks for posting about that before, I guess I should have searched for "cupcake diner" and not just "cupcake" :)

    2. Acutally there was an article in the Star about Hamilton in general and food trucks.

      1. Picked up a six-pack yesterday at Queen and Jarvis. These are just okay. Although the icing is not sickly sweet, it is definitely the "American" style with icing sugar, with plenty of chalkiness and not a hell of a lot of flavour. For example I had much more flavourful Bailey's Irish Cream icing last week from Prairie Girl. The cake is fine, the size is small for the price ($2.75). They are basically decent, homemade quality & sized cupcakes at a somewhat high price. I can see how it would be a fun truck at some kind of fair or other event out of the way, but with so many cupcakes around Toronto this is not something I would go out of my way for.

        1. I had them yesterday as they were downtown and someone bought some for me. They were just ok...nothing I would crave.
