Lunch vs Dinner for Telepan, La Silhouette, Dovetail

Hello,

I'd like to try all three of these restaurants, but I'm only able to go out for 1 lunch and 2 dinners.

Any advice on which of these 3 places would be the "lunch choice" and which would be the "dinner choices", and why?

Cost isn't an issue.

I'm leaning toward Dovetail and La Silhouette for dinner, just because they seem like more romantic venues.

Thanks in advance!

I would do Dovetail for dinner, as I think there is a real difference in quality between their lunch and dinner. I personally enjoy the Telepan lunch as well, so that would probably be my lunch choice.

I have not been to Telepan, but of the other two I think La Silhouette wins. I have been a fan of John Fraser but at Dovetail he seems to have lost the excitement. The menu never changes. I have been to La Slilouette twice, and in just a couple of months the menu has changed significantly. As you have not been to any of them before, I realize this may not be a major concern, but to me it just says something about the chef and the effort being made.

I would choose Telepan and Dovetail for dinner, if only because the main dining area at La Silhouette is comparatively casual and noisy. I like the food at all three pretty much equally.
