Cupcakes for Baby Shower?

I have been doing quite a bit of research and now it is time to order......but I need your help! Where would you suggest for consistently delicious, pretty, affordable cupcakes for a baby shower? I am looking for suggestions primarily from the South Shore area but would consider traveling a bit if they are really worth the trip!

For another local bakery Cake Spot in Quincy is delicious. Mix Bakery is also delicious and I believe they deliver.

The best cupcales around are at Sweet Tooth in South Boston on Broadway. They are large cupcakes and not cheap but they are the best both in taste and appearance. However, Babycakes in Quincy is my favorite. I have tried many of their varieties and I must say some I love (the babycake), some are good (banana chocolate) and and some I hate (the red velvet) so I would taste test before buying. Price very reasonable.

Thanks all for the thoughts and recommendations. My family actually did a tasting recently with a variety of cupcakes from Babycakes in Quincy and they were wonderful. I have heard the recommendation from Party Favors from a number of people- I appreciate the thoughts!
Such a problem to have....which cupcakes to order!

I'd recommend "Cakes By Erin" in Haverhill - they did a phenomenal job on a graduation cake last year, and the cupcakes I have seen have been lovely. The ones I have tried have been tasty, too. My husband reports back that the prices were also fairly reasonable.

Second this. I love their cupcakes, and find them much more reasonably priced than the other fancy cupcake specialists in the area.

Another vote for Babycakes. I used to like Party Favors but I prefer babycakes now. Nice fluffy cake and the icing is perfect... just like I would make it at home.

Either "Sugar" in W, Roxbury or "Party Favors" in Brookline. Neither one technically "south of the city" but both offer truly delicious cupcakes.

Party Favors will decorate cakes to your design. Maybe they would do the same for cupcakes.

They can customize cupcakes at Party Favors but it costs an arm and a leg. I took some for a baby shower that were simply decorated with frosting flowers (one of their stock decorations) and everyone loved them.

I "third" the recommendation for Party Favors. Their stock cupcakes have really pretty flowers on them, which would seem perfect for a shower. More importantly, the cake and frosting parts are both awesome. I would eat a tub of their buttercream if I could!!

"Treat" in Needham will decorate their cupcakes for any event, with designs of your choice.

Quite tasty as well
