M Wells LIC tomorrow with children?
Can anyone tell me if M Wells is child friendly? I'll need one high chair. Otherwise, I guess we could bring our own, but what a PITA...last weekend at Momofuko Noodle bar my hubs had to hold the baby while he slurped his ramen, not so much fun.
My other question is about the brains. I am quite adventurous--love all sorts of sashimi, foie, liver pate, tartar, have eaten sweetbreads although they are not my fave...I have read so much raving about the veal brains at M Wells, its making me want to try them, but it's a bit scary. Anyone have an opinion if I might like them if I've never tried them or am not heavily into offal?
Also, the wait--I have two children, 1 and 6 years old...they are well behaved, eat in Michelin starred restaurants (well, the six year old has) but the wait. We are driving down from CT for a Birthday party and wanted to eat here before hand. Optimum time would be noon, but I'm worried we'll have to wait an hour. If I get there at ten, should there be little to no wait?
Thanks in advance!

You're probably going to encounter a significant wait, and from that standpoint alone I'd say it's not a good choice. There's not much room for those awaiting seating, and although we've never seen it happen, a few people lately have commented that the line has gone out the door. I don't mean to sound discouraging, but I find it hard enough to deal with a cranky husband in situations like that...I can't imagine what it would be like to deal with cranky kids!
