Greenport/North Fork restaurants
Looking for a low-key dinner spot for me and two girlfriends (celebrating a wedding and a pregnancy). We are renting in Peconic. Friday dinner is at North Fork Table & Inn. I'm thinking about Greenport for Friday dinner. Someplace local, good food, not too loud, under $50/pp. Is Frisky Oyster any good?

I understand that Frisky Oyster has undergone a change in management. I haven't eaten there in a while, but it used to be terrific. For a low key option, however, I would eat at Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck.

re: roxlet
Founder Dennis McDermott sold it to his chef last year so I don't imagine it's all that different. Karen, if you go please report back. You may have trouble getting out for much under $50, as you will at Noah's too. Contrary to common belief you can eat relatively cheaply (and extremely well) at Luce & Hawins in Jamesport, though that's at the other end of the Fork...
