pre-theatre dinner - Lazy Ox Canteen or Church & State?

Taking the wife to see God of Carnage at the Ahmanson... looking for a pre-show bite and don't get downtown often enough so would like to try one of these spots: anyone have thoughts re Lazy Ox vs Church & State?

Of the two, Lazy Ox might be the better choice, particularly in terms of timing. Spice Table would work for you as well--just a block over from Lazy Ox.
