Places to throw a 50th birthday party?

Hi. I am looking for a place in New Orleans or surrounding area to throw my mom a 50th birthday party. Nothing too expensive but a place that will hold around 100 people. Any suggestions?
Thanks!!!!

We threw my dad's 50th at Napoleon House and it was great. That was 8.5 years ago though! I think it is one of the more reasonable places in the Quarter.

I've been to a 50th birthday dinner at Andrea's in Metairie that worked.

I would agree with all the other suggestions here as well - just trying to add to your options.

I threw my hubby's 50th at Lucy's Retired Surfer's Bar. It was a lot of fun, food was great and Lucy's personnel very nice to deal with. Other places we considered were Margaritaville and Bruno's on Maple Street. Mother's on Poydras has a small private room. All these places fit your criteria of size and not too expensive.

Check out Calcasieu, Chef Donald Link's private dining space next to Cochon. Have had 3 birthday dinners there, each one better than the next.

Basin Street Station on Rampart has a lovely penthouse party room that would certainly
hold 100...with private off street parking. You would have to provide the caterer...can personally recommend Joel's and Pigeon. Is this the type of place you are looking for, or would you prefer a restaurant that would provide the food, drinks, etc?

The Opera Association has a swell house on Prytania that is a great place for parties. Call and check with them I dunno the prices, though
