The signs said they have deep fried twinkies, mars bars, and snickers, a few other assorted candy bars. I was stopping to check out the produce, which there was none. I found a PHENOMENAL deep fried Twinkie at Lulu's Blue Plate Special off Santa Monica Blvd/405 (just around the corner from the Laemmles Royal) years ago. I so hope it still exists. It came a la mode, with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and chocolate chips. It was an overload of flavor, but certainly worth it. I actually found it while reading an old GG post on televisionwithoutpity.com. Didn't think I would ever find one outside of a county fair, but I was gladly mistaken :) Of all the deep fried desserts out there, this took the cake for me.
