Rehoboth breakfast

Bride of the Juggler May 20, 2011 05:38 AM

We are looking for a new breakfast place in Rehoboth, walking distance to the main drag. Anything from good grits/southern breakfast to fancy brunch type stuff like mascarpone stuffed french toast to a good diner. We love Greenman and are sick of the mediocre diner in the Brighton Suites. Must be ok with a well behaved toddler. Thank you.

I so love GreenMan. If it weren't so expensive I would have breakfast there all the time. There is a new restaurant next to it called The Cosmopolitan. It looks very nice but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. You can read a recent review of it at rehobothfoodie.com. Your family might like it.
This year The Greene Turtle on the boardwalk is offering a breakfast buffet and Bloody Mary bar. I just read about it in today's Cape Gazette and really want to try it. Although The Turtle is not known for good food, breakfast might be okay. Your little one would probably like that atmosphere. The view is amazing from that second floor space!
I always like to recommend Cafe Azafran. It is casual and on Baltimore Avenue. I like their housemade granola and yogurt and my husband likes their baked oatmeal. Their coffee is really good too.
One of my favorite places in all of Rehoboth is Cafe Papillon in Penny Lane. They open early but don't have inside dining. You order at a window and if you're lucky you'll find a table nearby. Their strawberry and creme crepes are huge and gorgeous and delicious and made fresh right in front of you.
I wish there was a good Southern breakfast spot here but if there is I don't know about it. Lots of people like Crystal but not me.
Last year the Porcini House was offering a nice breakfast. Check with them when you get to town.

That's probably your best bet in town....although admittedly I have not been there in a few years.
