Hi Chowhounds,

I'm going to be a grown up and go see a play in a couple weeks at the Hermosa beach playhouse. I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations for great foodie places - doesn't have to be fancy - just tasty. Even better if its walking distance from the theatre!

Thanks in advance!

Mama D's for Italian is tasty. They have a location in Hermosa Beach. Not sure where the playhouse is but how big of a city is Hermosa.

Well, Brogino's is tasty and has big portions (my kind of place) and is walkable to and from the playhouse IIRC.

Never mind, I was completely confused. Don't mind my senior moment....

New Orleans Cajun Cafe on Pier Ave. About a 4 block walk from the playhouse.

Chef Melbas Bistro is a nice choice, a little pricey though..

El Polla Inka is just across the street 2 blocks away on Pacific Coast Highway (next door to Ralph's Market)

Used to work at the theater, Pollo Inka was our regular go-to joint.
