Nantucket: seeking dog-friendly patios and delivery

I'll be spending a week on Nantucket and would like suggestions for dog-friendly dining and delivery options. I will be very near to town but without a car and don't want to keep the dog cooped up more than necessary. I'd like to be able to trek around the island and know I can stop by an outdoor patio for a bite with pooch in tow. Seeking both casual sandwich joints (I'm a fan of Something Natural so that's on the list) and maybe some upscale choices if at all possible. Would love your input!

Still on the island but so far have dined outdoors with the pooch at Black Eyed Susan's, Sayles Seafood and Brick Bistro. Breakfast at BES was quite good. Dogs seem to be welcome pretty much anywhere with outdoor seating. Will update dog-friendly list at a later date.

In the past, we've been able to eat at the Rotary's outdoor picnic tables with our dog. It's a Jamaican takeout joint with food that's dumbed down (i.e. "jerk chicken" last summer was just roasted chicken with a side of hot sauce), but served in generous portions. It's close to Shop and Shop and the high school.

IIRC, The Pearl and The Brotherhood of Thieves have also allowed us to eat on the patio with our dog in years past. Both are in town. The Pearl is upscale (Asian fusion) and The Brotherhood of Thieves is casual.

Bartlett's Farm outside of town also has prepared foods in its grocery store with picnic tables outside, where you can eat with your dog.

Re: delivery -- The Muse has delivered for as long as I can remember. They probably will this summer, as well. Food is basic pub grub.

Update: The Rotary is closed. Just biked by and it looks like it's being renovated.

GSM, I hope you report back about where you're able to eat with your dog. It'd be useful for many of us to have a comprehensive list!

Thank you, Phelana!! It makes me happy to hear about these places, especially the restaurants that allow people to sit next to their dogs inside a patio enclosure.

You might contact The Cottages at the Boat Basin, as they have dog friendly accomadations so may have some great suggestions. You might also check with the island pet store - don't recall the name. I would also consider renting a car on island for 24 - 48 hours to explore with ac with your hound enjoying different places to take a stroll, head to Sconcet, and Bartlett Farm. We always travelled with a small blanket and toys that would make our lodging feel at home. We were lucky he wasn't a big barker, so we could leave the tv, ac on and he would be fine for a couple of hours. I am still thinking about the chowder at Brant Point.

The downtown dog store is Cold Noses, and the bigger, out of town store is Geronimo's.

Does anyone know if Black Eyed Susan's will permit dogs in their outdoor seating area?

Should I take the silence to mean my search may prove futile?

Except for Steamboat Pizza, I don't know any restaurants that deliver. I think, but am not sure, that most places with patios are dog friendly (don't quote me): The Ropewalk, Slip 14, Boarding House, Languedoc, Something Natural (as you said).
