237 Grand Street Restaurant before quicklly and the optical store

what was the name of that restaurant that was there in the early 90s and was that restaurant chiu chow style noodle soup? cause i went to "New Chao Chow" and it tasted similar to that one back then

    Actually you may be right about the noodle soup. Golden Statue appears to have been a bakery and noodle restaurant. (I got the bakery part from their business card which I still have.) Plus after reading this article I suddenly remember the fish ball soup I got over there in 1994.

      Well, Golden Statue was there in the early 1990s, but it was one of the combo bakery restaurant places.
