What is the difference between tapsilog, tosilog, longsilog and bangsilog? I can't figure it out. Is it the meat that is different?
-silog is the nickname for the combination of garlic fried rice (sinangag) and fried eggs (itlog). The different kinds of -silog vary in the type of meat that accompanies your meal.
tapsilog = tapa (cured beef)
tosilog = tocino (bacon or cured pork belly)
longsilog = longaniza (sausage)
bangsilog = bangus (marinated fried fish)
