Swing top bottles?

koshfoodie May 18, 2011 04:43 PM

Hello Folks,

Since the summer season is finally here I am planning a few bbqs and gatherings at my place. This year I want to make a bottle my own soda for these occasions but am having difficulty finding the appropriate bottles.

Does anyone know where I can find swing top bottle or reusable bottles in Vancouver? Single serving would be ideal!

I have attached a photo...

Thanks for your help!

We use these bottles for the beer we brew at our local U-brew. I'm sure a local U-brew would sell you a case.

a few years back i purchased a couple of boxes of the "grolsch " swing top beer bottles from the bottle depot. they only charge the deposit, so it was quite inexpensive.
I washed them and sanitized them...it was fantastic.

You can always buy french lemonade from Wholefoods/Choices/Capers/Meinhardts and reuse the bottles. We have tons of them and use them to store water in the fridge!

Try searching on craigslist using the search term 'grolsch'.

Ikea has some fairly cheap swing top bottles:

The Howe Sound Brewery sells their beer in 1L swing top bottles. This is a double win for you as you first need to empty the bottles...

If beer isn't your thing you can also buy the bottles from West Coast U-Brew on Clark @ 1st Ave.
