Not too much in that zone in the calibre of Via Allegro (ie wine list, food choices, price)...but if you are not looking for a particularly fancy lunch, there are several tasty/ethnic options. For sushi, I would look at Momiji sushi (Kingsway Village) and Kumai (near the 401/airport area... a bit out of your way) - both quite good, and consistent. For excellent Korean (great bibimbop and soon tofu soups) check out Chodang soon Tofu on dundas a few blocks west of kipling (easy access from 427 dundas exit) - this is a very mom and pop type operation. Also right near by is Anatolia for Turkish on the same stretch of Dundas. If you are looking for a more bistro type (slightly higher end) experience, Merlot in the Kingsway village has some decent offerings and some tasty wines. Pulcinella on Lakeshore and Browns Line has been a bit hit and miss for us (usually good, but a couple of disappointing visits especially the pizza...think opposite of Teroni).

Ideally Kingsway to 427ish. Seeking a midpoint for me travelling from Scarboro and my friend from Oakville. Price not a concern. We sometimes meet at Via Allegro. Quality of food and ambience conducive to conversation are most important., Think Origin, Beast maybe even Terroni for food style.
