Dim Sum Close Outs At Seafood Cove 2
Like many Chinese, two things I appreciate are good food and a good deal. A combination of these two is the end of day dim sum close out at Seafood Cove 2 in Westminister. At the end of the day they put the unsold dim sum in a display case and sell them buy one, get one free. While Westminster dim sum is not as cheap as a number of places in the San Gabriel Valley, this 2 for 1 offer does net out lower. One interesting variety they have is a pineapple crust curry chicken bao--first time I've seen that item. They mark it with something that looks a small green pea on top. These are bigger than the three to the plate bao you see at most dim sum places, but smaller than the large size baked bao you see at CBS Seafood. So if you're driving past the restaurant at 9211 Bolsa Ave. at 3 pm like I was, it may pay to stop on by.
