Restaurant for celebratory dinner in Madison, CT?

I am going to be in the Madison/New Haven area for a wedding this week and need recommendations of a good restaurant to take someone out to for 30th birthday party. We're open to any type of food, but want somewhere with great food, good drinks and where we can have a good time. Any recommendations?

    Another great choice in Branford is Le Petite Cafe

            The Suburban in Branford or what about something in downtown New Haven . There is also Cafe Routier in Westbrook.
