Need Fish Friendly SF Neighborhood Restaurant

I have 2 friends coming from LA who keep kosher...which means they can eat fish (NOT shellfish) and vegetarian when they go out. It;s a birthday so it should be someplace festive and moderate (but not necessarily luxe like Waterbar, Farallon, etc). Looking for Noe, Castro, Mission, Bernal, Potrero, Dogpatch.

Maybe a neighborhood gem you might know that I don't. (I like places like L'Ardoise, Serpentine, etc but their menus provide few options for my friends).

That is my style of eating as well. I've had fabulous meals at A16, Firefly and many others. In SF it seems pretty easy to find veggie/fish choices, even if you have to ask for a component to be left out of a dish.

Take a look at Skool. Lots of fish and veggies (don't miss the fried mushrooms), interesting drinks, and desserts, elegant decor with friendly service. And easy parking.

Piccino's another option: lots of vegetarian options. Haven't been since they reopened down the block.

Maybe Anchor Oyster Bar in the Castro? They don't take reservations though. Would also recommend Bar Crudo but it is in the Western Addition.
