Provincetown wedding venue recs?

  • 7

Trying the GB board, since I just got one response on the Southern New England board...I'm hoping to have my wedding in P'town this fall (Oct/Nov). Can anyone recommend a nice venue that has great food? Your thoughts on Provincetown Inn, Red Inn, Brass Key, or any other suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I'm having my wedding on the Outer Cape this summer and a problem we ran into looking for venue's is that many of the weddings in Ptown have hard caps on the number of guests allowed and we were way above them. You can always do the Pilgrim Monument and tent it.

There is a new hotel called the Harbor Hotel that was renovated this year that may do weddings.

There is also the Ptown Inn which does everything but we heard not so great things about the scene though they were very nice when we met with them.

Ptown Parties is the caterer we are using. They also work with numerous venues and could help you find something. I've heard great things about their food.

Thanks! We're only expecting about 50 guests, so hopefully the cap isn't lower than that! Just out of curiosity, what were some of the places in P'town you looked into?

Ptown Parties' menus look great! Now I just need a venue...Looked into the PAAM, but they don't allow red wine or dancing, so that won't work.

Ptown Parties does things at multiple venues including the cafe that they run in North Truro. They can also help with finding other places. I know there is a yacht club in Truro they work with and some private residences that can be rented for events.

If you contact them they can provide options. In the summer some of the smaller inns may have caps around 40.

    2. The Red Inn IS amazing, and they do weddings in off months, but it's very expensive. You need to buy out the whole inn/restaurant. Think $25k and up...

      1. In that season you might give Ross' Grill a call. The owner had his wedding there last year and the food is great. Casual, warm, right on the water with the space outside in Whaler's Wharf that might let you spread out a bit.

You might have to opt for one of their "closed" days but it might be a possibility.

        I have no idea

        1. Maybe you'd like Fanizzi's Restaurant by the Sea.

          1. I wouldn't call the food at Fanizzi's great, but the venue would certainly suit. The best food I've had in and around Provincetown in recent years is at Blackfish in Truro. No idea if they accommodate your kind of event, but the cuisine really stood out for the neighborhood.
