Picnic, the restaurant

Has anyone tried this place? Seems to have a NYC sophisticated type menu....Hesitant because I am tired of shelling out 100 -150 bucks for sub-par food that leaves me wishing I had just splurged on expensive ingredients at whole foods and cooked at home.

I have heard many good things about this restaurant -- both first-hand, from people I know and respect, and others via reviews, etc. I haven't been there yet, but we have plans to go in the very near future and I'm looking forward to going.

For great Mexican food in Long Branch I still prefer Acapulquenos on Broadway. Excellent Tacos de Lengua de Res. A complete dinner for under $10!

It is one of the best restaurants in the area. Food compares to NYC, but with a BYO it keeps the prices down. Menu changes daily, everything is fresh- we love it!
