Michelin Rated HK restaurants...and "fancy" Cantonese/Chinese cuisine in Hong Kong :)
Going to be in HK end of May/early June for around 6 days.
We picked up the HK Michelin Guide and noticed the 3 star ratings given to three places, is Lung King Heen a MUST TRY for "fancy" Cantonese cuisine?
How about Sun Tung Lok (the other Michelin 3 star rated Chinese restaurant)?
Or are there other "fancy" places with delicacies etc that Chowhounders would favor over Lung King Heen?
We're coming from the U.S. and I've grown up in LA and been to NY numerous times but coming to HK after the last time being in 2001, I did notice that there are MANY dishes/regional Chinese cuisines not easily found (if available at all) in the U.S.
We're willing to do a few fancy meals in HK be it Michelin-rated or not...
Would love to hear everyone's input and thoughts especially if we're ready to spend :)

Charles Yu is right. And to answer your first question, coweepoh, Lung King Heen is definitely not a must try. You can see how some Chowhounds and food bloggers absolutely detest the place. My personal experiences with Lung King Heen have also been disappointing :- over-rated cuisine and not very tasty at all (same for lunch time dim sum as for formal Cantonese dinner in the evening). So many other restaurants in HK offer better food. But I guess Four Seasons Hotel played host to the Michelin inspectors when they stayed in HK, hence the 3 Michelin stars. Pathetic.
