Where can I find mending roubing (门钉肉饼)?

Does anyone know where to get good mending roubing in LA/SGV? I'm not having much luck searching on the internets.

  1. Canton Gourmet and Bakery (aka Beijing Pie House).

I wrote about it earlier here:

    Beijing Pie House
846 E Garvey Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91755

Great, thank you! Is xian bing just another name for mending roubing?

        Essentially, yes.

The only difference is that 门钉肉饼 is Halal and thus will never be filled with pork, only lamb and beef. No such restrictions for 餡餅, which come with all flavors of fillings, incl. pork.

Consider the 门钉肉饼 a Halal 餡餅, if you will.

In my experience the two are different. Xian bing is a hockey puck; rou bing is a pizza.

Do you mean size wise or in construction?

While there might be some size differences between the two, I've never found one to be significantly bigger than the other.

But if you mean the 门钉肉饼 to be constructed a la a pizza (e.g., dough crust, toppings and open faced) then I've never seen such a thing, at least nothing called 门钉肉饼.

Here's a picture and a good description and background of 门钉肉饼
