Need recs for Larchmont- Mamaroneck area

I am looking for some suggestions for up-scale French, Italian or continental restaurants in the Larchmont -Mamaroneck area.

We are meeting friends in that area and find it is convenient for all of us.
We will be coming from Orange county and they are traveling from the North Shore of Long Island.

We have dined at Provencal and the four of us loved it. We would like to have another good dining experience.

Lusardi's is an excellent up-scale Italian restaurant in Larchmont.

Directly across the street from Le Provancal is Enzo's. Good Italian food. And directly around the corner- across from the train station- is another Italian place that has even better food but the name escapes me.

Il Castello is across from the train station. When you order espresso, they leave a bottle of Sambuca for you to enjoy as you wish. Love that.

I have not been there, but maybe you mean La Scarbitta? It's right across from the station.

I read somewhere that La Scarbitta have the same owners as Spadaro in New Rochelle - - which has pretty good Italian food and a "verbal" menu, wonder if its any different?

I'm a fan of Encore in Larchmont - very much of a bistro vibe - and their peppercorn sauce is great. And the old standby Emelio's in Harrison may be a good choice for Italian. Buffet de la Gare down in Hastings is great, but may be a little too far per your request.

Just a couple miles North in Rye is the wonderful La Panetière. Wonderful upscale French restaurant.

Piccolo Mulino in Mamaroneck is pretty good. However, even with just four of you the seating can be tight. Hope for good weather and a table on the outdoor patio.

We are fond of Espana in Larchmont -- mostly tapas, which can be fun with a group. It's a pleasant ambience.
