Okko fine foods - where Autogrill used to be on Eglinton

Anyone know anything about this new butcher/deli/prepared food shop? They have an "opening soon" sign up. Looks like it might be similar to Tony's, which is on the north side of Eglinton, about a block east.

Pretty good for what they are trying to do. Nice looking meats, selection of daily prepared foods, and a sandwich counter that has a number of fresh selections that they will also toast or press for you. Meat prices way below the Healthy Butcher, and the prepared food looks better.

that's funny! tony's chicken fingers are the only thing i buy there too! okko is a breath of fresh air in the neighbourhood, the strength being the prepared foods, delicious homemade bourekas, huge and generously filled/spiced. best in the city, plus beautiful prepared meats. lower mark up on specialty products than anywhere i've seen. lovely family. will they survive there? they deserve to.

Curious to see what it might be. Missing Sherwood market now that it's being rebranded, and haven't been thrilled with Tony's Best prepared food in radius now is Pimenton.

Tony's chicken fingers are good but I haven't been impressed with anything else there. I don't know anything about the people behind Okko but ad hoping for great things.
