Best Black Beans in Broward?

I can't get enough of pollo tropical's, along with their boiled yucca when I hit the whole thing with garlic and hot sauce.

Am I missing a better version anywhere?

The best beans around are at Casa Romeu in Miami Lakes. It's not Broward, but it's close NW 67th Ave. and NW 183rd. Try the plantain soup on Wednesdays with mojo, lime and fresh fried plantain chips (mariquitas).

I won't claim to know the best black beans, but I do know that there are variations in the food at the La Granja locations. For example - the outpost in Weston tends to do them a bit mushy (which I've learned to love,) and at the one on Commercial east of University they taste like an ashtray. I like the beans at the Granja at 441 & Griffin, and the one at 441 & Atlantic.

Take that with a grain of salt though, I can't stomach Pollo Tropical.

Try Las Colinas in Wilton Manors. It's one of the special things about living in east/central broward. Great beans & the best, most fluffy-clowdy yuca con mojo i've ever had.

Thanks, sounds great. I went to Havana Coffee Company in Davie and really liked the boiled yucca. Beans were tasty too!

The best black beans are at Elle's in Miramar, in my opinion. I'm not sure if it's always on the menu, but I had some from their cinco de mayo menu and it was excellent.

Just went to La Granja. Pollo Tropical's are better.
